Baby Pictures
Here are some ultrasounds of the baby. The first one is early on, can't remember how many weeks. The second one is at 21 weeks & you can actually start to tell it is a baby and not just some weird blob shape. The last one is the 4D ultrasound and is a little harder to figure out. With it you are looking at the babies head with it's arm near it's face underneath & foot on the right. It had it's legs and arms up by it's head like it was touching it's toes or something. I will get more pictures later. And post pictures after the baby is born also.

Winter Weather
As you can see from the pictures, I tried to take our dog Nehemiah sleding and he baled out on me before we hit the bottom. I am ready for spring, but thoroughly enjoyed the snow we got. This is from an earlier snow, not the big one we enjoyed last week. The first picture of the sunrise is from the most recent big snow where we enjoyed 8 or more inches. The hump in the front of the picture is my completely covered car.

Happy News!
It has been so long since I've posted anything. Maybe because of not having access to a computer over hoilday break? Or that I have been to busy to post anything? Or maybe just cause of constanly having my head over a toliet or trash can? Kinda comes along with being Pregnant! Yeah, finally and all is healthy so far at 22 weeks! I wish I could say that I am not feeling sick anymore because my body adjusted to all the hormones, but after being sick 2-3 times a day for 4 months, I caved and am now taking an anti-nausea medicine that is safe (as safe as medicine can be anyway). I tried all the natural remedies first, but not worked and I was starting to worry that only eating carbs to ease the nasuea was not so good. Smells still bother me, but I can eat all the food groups again, even if it is limited to only a few things in each category that I don't have an aversion to. We got to see the ultrasound, more on that later.

Run For Gracie 5k
Brandon and I did another 5k a few weeks ago called the Run for Gracie. Gracie was a little baby, 5 months I think that died of some illness or disease I had never heard of before. Really sad. You can see our results and I bad picture of me crossing the finish line at our school website:

What's sad is that I walked and jogged the best I could do while Brandon only walked and he finished like a minute behind me. He has been having to rest his foot since I got planter facitis (sp?) He should be up and running again come January. His foot is feeling better and he wants to run, but has to take it easy a while longer so that it doesn't flare up again. When he can run a 5k, he can finish about 23 minutes. He has done a half-marathon last year & a relay last month. He will be training for a marathon some time in the spring or summer.

Camping

For my birthday, Brandon and I went camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We camped at Julian Price Park and walked the 2.6 mile trail around it after first attempting the trail with all the rocks where you see Brandon standing. That trail started at the Lynn Cove Viaduct, but it was very narrow and steep and I am clumsy and didn't want to fall and land down the ravine hitting my head on a rock.
Then the next morning we stopped at the Moses Cone Manor/ Craft store. They have a beautiful view of lake. I just love the colors this time of year. All the warm colored leaves and bright blue skies.

Class
Yestarday I asked my students a trick question, how do you make white? black? red? yellow? blue? My seventh graders who took band last year instead of art spent 10 minutes guessing every kind of color combinations to try to make those colors, but my sixth graders knew right away and said Mrs. Davis you can't make those colors. I'm so proud of my sixth graders, at least I know some of my students have been paying attention all these years. Anyway, they are making some good art this year, I think I will post some photos later.
